Christopher Etheridge is a leading Medical Herbalist (Phytotherapist) with extensive experience as a herbal practitioner, researcher and writer. He is also one of Britain’s foremost Integrated Cancer Specialists with his own dedicated cancer consultancy,


Chris is President of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP –, a major professional governing body that sets the highest standards of practice in herbal medicine. He is also a Director of the European Herbal and Traditional Medicines Professional Association (EHTPA –, which is dedicated to the development of herbal/traditional medicine, preserving and enhancing the legal basis of practice across EU Members States and promoting best practice throughout different herbal medicine traditions, and Chair of the British Herbal Medicine Association (BHMA – He holds a first class honours BSc and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Imperial College, London. He was a Lecturer and Research Fellow in Gene Therapy at Imperial’s Department of Chemistry and at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at St Mary’s Hospital, where he also received further training, from 1995-99. Chris completed his professional training on the four-year Herbal Medicine degree programme at the College of Phytotherapy, East Sussex, where he graduated in 2006 with a first class honours BSc and published his dissertation on quality control in herbal medicine.
